At creative writing we are usually given a word prompt to write a short story, poem or thoughts. This week we were encouraged to use music, and Pictures at an exhibition by Mussorgsky was suggested by a member of the class. All you have to do is listen and write whatever comes to mind. What makes this piece useful is the different moods and environments you feel that you are entering, giving more textures to explore and different scenarios to create.
So give it a go. I managed to get some key words to mold into a short story, others actually had a continuing story. Who know what you could come up with.
